With a recent upgrade, Twitter now shows video captions and subtitles.
Captions will be seen at the bottom of videos as you are watching them.
This is helpful if you want to hear the video’s audio but aren’t in a calm environment.
But occasionally they might be bothersome, so you might wish to turn them off.
For instance, captions (CC) may obscure crucial sections of the film.
You can read this article to find out how to enable or disable captions on Twitter videos.
How to turn off captions on Twitter videos
1. Launch Twitter and sign in with your details.
2. Find the video you wish to disable the captions for.
3. Press the “CC” button.
4. The captions have now been disabled!
The “CC” icon is typically located in the top right corner of a Twitter video.
The captions will be disabled when you tap on it.
If you are unable to locate the symbol, captions are not yet available to you.
Nevertheless, if you still notice captions in the video, it suggests the editor purposefully added them.
If that’s the case, you won’t be able to take them out of the film.
For Android devices, here’s how to disable captions on videos from Twitter:
Open the Settings application.
2. Select “Accessibility” after descending.
3. Select “Captions” after descending.
4. Disable “Use Captions.”

You can also turn on captions in your accessibility settings if you’re an iOS user.
Turn on “Closed Captions + SDH” under “Subtitles & Captioning” in your accessibility options.
This enables closed captioning (CC) or subtitles for hearing-impaired people.
This is also possible with Android devices.
